Hello area homeschoolers!
As many of you know, Knowledge House Resource Center has been open since 2003 offering classes, workshops, testing and other events for our homeschool community at Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church in New River due to the church's gracious offer of their Fellowship Hall rooms.
In the past few weeks, Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church trustees were presented an offer by a charter school. The trustees of the church voted on the offer and accepted it. The charter school will start their planning, re-modeling and building process in September. It appears that we will not be able to use the church rooms starting in September for homeschool events. Thus, September classes will not be held and be re-scheduled at a later date, at a new location once we find one.
We, Teri Ann Olsen, Librarian/Resource Coordinator and honor society sponsor, Helene Charles, Workshop/Event Coordinator, Margaret Bradley-Simard, Testing Coordinator and honor society co-sponsor, are regretfully sorry to inform you of this and we ask for your prayers as well as your help on finding a new location for Knowledge House Learning Resource Center.
Knowledge House Learning Resource Center (KHLRC):
- Classes are Thursdays from about 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM with two separate classes being offered at the same time. Thus, two rooms are needed.
- Events are once a month, every second Friday at 1:00 - 3:00 PM for the honor society meeting.
- Standardized testing is in the spring time on Tuesday - Thursday from 9:00 to 2:00.
- Safe place for younger children to play while their older sibling(s) is(are) in class.
If anyone can assist us in finding a new location for KHLRC, please contact .
